KBC hosted a farewell party to celebrate the journalist for her contributions to the national broadcaster.

Sarafina Robi is set to join the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) following her exit from the national broadcaster.

Nairobileo on Friday, November 8, established that the news anchor would begin her job at the international media house in the coming days.

At BBC, she will be joining the BBC Swahili team which covers new events in Kenya and across Africa in Swahili.

The journalist officially announced her exit from KBC on Thursday, November 7, after serving at the station for over 6 years.

"I still remember the first time I received a call to start working at KBC, I was so excited I cried so much! For six years, I have met people who have moulded me into the journalist I am today," she penned.

"Today I cried a lot saying goodbye because I am not so good at goodbyes and I had gotten pretty attached to the National Broadcaster."

In her statement, she also thanked her colleagues at the KBC indicating that the station was the force behind her development as a journalist in the country.

At KBC, she was the new anchor of the 7 PM news on Tuesday.

"KBC has taught me the importance of being professional, given me some pretty good work ethic and for that I will miss you very much but we shall meet in the field," the journalist wrote.

Consequently, in line with the recent developments, KBC hosted a farewell party to celebrate the journalist for her contributions to the national broadcaster.
