Singer Akothee spoke on how Covid-19 lockdown helped her reduce her bills which would hit Ksh3.5 million monthly.
Speaking on an Instagram live session with Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong'o, the Alhaji singer revealed that she saved Ksh2 million on her monthly budget.
"I was just all over the place for nothing and my bills reduced from Sh3.5 million a month to Sh1.5 million, Covid really toned me down. I really grew. I got time to bond with my kids apart from the one living in France because of the lockdown," Akothee said.
"I realised I didn't need a lot of people around me. Before, I would walk around with not less than 10 people because I have no freedom," she continued.
The businesswoman noted that she rediscovered things about herself that she didn't deem possible before like staying at home.

"After Covid, I actually found out I can stay at my house for a whole month, and it gave me the opportunity to even think much more. I identified the kind of person I am. I worked on my emotions and developed quite a lot," she explained.
Akothee and Lupita engaged on an Instagram live where they were speaking about the actress's children's book 'Sulwe' which promotes self-love among kids of darker skin tones.
