Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga and First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto on Saturday, September 6, attended the wedding ceremony of Immigration and Citizen Services PS Belio Kipsang’s son Brian Belio and businessman David Langat’s daughter Nicole Langat.
The colorful ceremony, which drew the attendance of senior government officials, was held at Naishola Gardens in Limuru, Kiambu County.
Among those present were Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, Energy CS Opiyo Wandayi, Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen, and Transport CS Davis Chirchir.
Other notable figures in attendance included KAA Chairperson Caleb Kositany, marathoner Eliud Kipchoge, former KNUT Secretary-General Wilson Sossion, Agriculture PS Kipronoh Ronoh, and State House Press Secretary Emmanuel Talam.

In a statement after the event, Koskei wished the couple happiness and peace in their journey in marriage.
“Today, I joined First Lady MamaRachel Ruto, former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, and loved ones at Naishola Gardens, Limuru, to celebrate the joyous union of Nicole Chepkoech Langat and Brian Kipkoech Belio.
“I am honored to wish the beautiful couple a lifetime of love, happiness, peace, and divine favor as they begin this new journey together. Congratulations, Nicole and Brian,” Koskei stated.
This comes months after the couple held a pre-wedding ceremony in Karen, Nairobi, that was attended by President William Ruto, among other prominent politicians and government officials.
Tanzanian musician Juma Mussa Mkambala, popularly known as Juma Jux, entertained guests during the high-level event.
The guests donned a blend of traditional and contemporary attire, with most of the men wearing Panama hats.
On August 3, the couple held a traditional dowry ceremony, which was also attended by prominent politicians and government officials.
In a statement after gracing the event, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi explained that the dowry presentation event was held in accordance with the ‘Tumdoab Kanyiook’ tradition that symbolizes respect and gratitude.
“The dowry presentation was marked with Tumdoab Kanyiook, a tradition symbolizing respect and gratitude.
“Wishing Brian and Nicole a lifetime of love, happiness, and togetherness as they embark on this new journey together! Congratulations to the families,” Sudi stated.
