Safaricom has announced that it will conduct an MPesa system maintenance on Monday, June 24, from 1:00 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.
In a notice on Saturday, June 23, the telecommunications company disclosed that M-Pesa services will be unavailable during that time.
According to Safaricom, the maintenance was part of the constant enhancements of its services to provide a better experience for its customers.
"As part of these ongoing enhancements, we will be carrying out planned system maintenance on the evening of Monday, June 24, 2024, from 1 am to 1.30 am. During this maintenance, all M-Pesa services will be unavailable," Safaricom stated.
However, the company stated that all other services, including calls, data, and SMS, will remain available during the exercise.

Safaricom maintained that the system maintenance was scheduled at a time when it would cause little inconvenience to its customers.
"The timing of this maintenance has been planned to result in the least inconvenience to our customers. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience," Safaricom remarked.
The maintenance comes weeks after the company experienced undersea cable cuts which resulted in slow internet speeds among its customers.
The company, however, later announced the resumption of normal internet speeds after the issue was solved.
