Embarambamba made a passionate appeal to KFCB boss after the latter criticised his theatrics.

Controversial gospel musician Embarambamba has appealed for financial help noting that he engages in theatrics due to poverty.

Speaking during an interview on The Trend on Friday night, Embarambamba noted that instead of being criticized, he should be supported.

Addressing Kenya Film and Classification Board (KFCB) Boss Dr. Ezekiel Mutua, Embarambamba appealed to him to support his talent and help him grow.

“Badala ya Ezekiel Mutua kunikashifu, angesupport talent yangu… Support my talent,” he said.

Responding to Embarambamba’s appeal, Dr. Mutua invited the musician for a talk, noting that he does not have to engage in theatrics and social media drama for likes and following.

“Embarambamba on the Trend on NTV, says his theatrics are because of poverty. He's asking for help. Bro come, let's talk. You don't have to do this madness for likes on social media. Come let's find a way out. You sound ok, but your theatrics are embarrassing & must be moderated,” he tweeted.

Early this week, Embarambamba made headlines after a video of him dancing in the mud emerged.

For the better part of the week, Embarambamba was among the trending topics on Twitter with netizens expressing concern over his safety and health status.

Reacting to the Video, Dr Mutua said: “"I have a feeling that convict Embarambamba is a danger to himself and that his fans could be cheering him on self-destruction. Is this style sustainable? Is it even sane? Unless he's superhuman, this guy will hurt himself. Someone, please stop him.”
