For over 14 years, Mark Masai build a career at Nation Media Group, rising through the ranks to be a senior anchor and among the most celebrated journalist in the country.
But despite his stellar career at the media house, the curtains fell for him Wednesday after the Media House announced a major reorganisation that saw him sacked.
He was among the top editors and big names in the media industry that were shown the door after NMG CEO Stephen Gitagama announced a major reorganisation that will see some leave.
But on Thursday, though sacked, Masai in a show of boldness promised his fans to be back again.

"Down but not out!" He said in his seemingly last message to viewers.
"I had a great run st Nation and it was time to move on. This is the reality of the media landscape around the world. Unfortunately, I am at the losing end of this one," he added.
He went o to hint that he will soon make a comeback on TV screens by saying it was not yet time to write him and his career off.
"This is not the end of my career in the media. I will be back on other platforms. All I have to say is watch this space."
