Public Service, Gender and Affirmative Action CS Aisha Jumwa has pleaded with Azimio leader Raila Odinga to sideline the lamentations over the outcome of the August 9 presidential vote.
For a time, the former prime minister has held that the vote was rigged in favour of President William Ruto.
Jumwa is however of a differing opinion.
Speaking on Saturday, December 3, while gracing the thanksgiving fete of Kilifi governor Gideon Mung'aro, Jumwa dismissed the assertion that the election was not credible.
Referencing her loss to Mung'aro, who was declared the winner of the Kilifi governorship, Jumwa said she took the initiative to congratulate her rival despite losing.

"Everything has its own time. I wanted to be the governor of Kilifi, but because I was not declared the winner, I took my phone and congratulated Mung'aro. Therefore, I want to urge Raila Odinga that President William Ruto was declared the winner. If the vote was rigged, I would have wished the same in Kilifi, but that is not how things work," she said.
She insisted that Ruto was duly elected and thus the claims by Raila do not hold any water.
