Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has ruled out the possibility of defecting to the President William Ruto-led Kenya Kwanza formation.
He has however given a condition should the unlikely event take place sooner or later.
The politician says he is too smart for the president's side, categorizing that he would join Kenya Kwanza on an offer of a senior post in the ruling coalition.
"I think I'm too expensive for Ruto. (I'd join) maybe as a principal, but again that is tomorrow's but not today's problem. It is only me in Azimio who can handle all the Kenya Kwanza MPs. For now, I want to concentrate on working for Embakasi East residents and making laws favourable to Kenyans," he said.

The politician however says he recognises Ruto as the duly elected president despite being in denial for a time.
He therefore advises the president to deliver on the promises he made to Kenyans.
"I acknowledged Ruto for outsmarting us when I met with him in parliament. My advice to him is that he should make good all the promises he made to Kenyans during the campaigns," said Babu.
Earlier, Babu had foreseen serving as a Cabinet Secretary if ODM leader Raila Odinga won the presidency.
In an interview with NTV in a feature dubbed Why Raila Lost, Babu explained that Raila's loss at times gives him sleepless nights.
He said he had assured a Cabinet slot either at the Education ministry or the powerful interior.
"Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and ask myself what really happened. I knew I would not be sitting in this office had Raila won. I would be serving Kenyans as a Cabinet Secretary for education or interior. But look at me now," Babu told NTV.
