The Ministry of Health on Monday afternoon announced 53 new COVID-19 cases from a sample of 1107.
The country's caseload now stands at 38,168, as the ministry now claims credit for what they perceive as milestones in the fight against the disease.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said the death toll in Kenya was now at 700 after 9 more patients died since Sunday.
There were 60 more recoveries recorded on Monday, taking the total number to of survivors to 24,681.
In the Monday announcement, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said 36 of those who had conquered the disease as confirmed on Monday were at home and 24 in hospitals.
Earlier CS Kagwe while at the National Covid-19 conference declined to rate his performance at the ministry while fighting the diseases.
The CS was challenged to take his score on a scale of 1-10 but declined arguing he did not wish to take credit for the success but would leave it to Kenyans.
"Success means built substantial capacity, I do not want to rate myself as an individual as it was by no means individual effort. If asked to rate us as a country based on how we have done and handled the pandemic, I would ask the audience to give that rating," stated the CS.
The conference was presided over by President Uhuru Kenyattaa. Deputy President William Ruto failed to attend the event at KICC.
