Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga ardent supporter Nuru Okanga has dismissed rumors that he begged Kenyans to help him settle his hospital bill after feeling unwell following the Monday protests.
Speaking on Thursday, March 23 after being visited by Mumias East lawmaker Peter Salasya, Okanga stated that the rumors are false noting that people behind the allegations are seeking to make money using his name.
The Bunge la Mwananchi chair also stated that he would be taking part in the second phase of Azimio anti-government demonstrations slated for next week.

Salasya on his part gave the Raila-diehard ten thousand shillings due to his staunch support for the Azimio leader.
Okanga on Monday claimed that the police were targeting him during the demos and wanted to arrest him.
He felt unwell after the protests and sought medical attention at Kayole hospital where he was diagnosed with malaria.
