National Assembly Leader Kimani Ichung’wah has revealed that Kenya Kwanza leaders are planning to tame Azimio anti-government protests.
Speaking during the thanksgiving ceremony of Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu on Friday, March 24 in Kisii County, Ichung’wah acknowledged there was a meeting to combat demonstrations but ruled out planning anything bad on Azimio leader Raila Odinga.
“Niliskia Jana aliyekuwa Prime Minister akinilundukizia maneno na naibu wa rais ati tunampangia. Ni ukweli tunampangia na tutampangia sababu wakati mlisafirisha yeye 2017, aliyekuwa rais wetu alifanyia yeye political resuscitation but this time hatuwezi pangia yeye mambo maovu,” said Ichung’wah.
Raila on Thursday claimed that Ichung’wah held a meeting with Gachagua and Ndindi Nyoro where they instructed youths allied to the Kenya kwanza government to be given uniforms similar to Azimio's Movement for the Defence of Democracy (MDD) to enable them to blend with them during protests without being noticed.

"We have very authentic information that on Tuesday evening, Rigathi Gachagua convened a meeting at his residence in Karen, and in attendance were Kimani Ichung’wah and Ndindi Nyoro. They invited a number of youths from different parts of the country to that meeting. That meeting turned out to be a strategy session to plan to counter the demonstrators on Monday," Raila claimed.
The ODM leader also alleged that the leaders instructed the youth to kill over a thousand Kenyans and blame it on him.
"They are going to be armed with stones, knives, and guns. Their aim is to kill over 1000 people and then they are going to make a case that there is a blood bath and try to send Azimio leaders to ICC," he alleged.
