Duale on Tuesday accused Raila of being power-hungry and asking for talks similar to the 2008 National Accord 

Former Mukurweini Member of Parliament Kabando wa Kabando has chastised Defence Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale over his remarks on Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga.

In an update via Twitter on Wednesday, April 5, Kabando told Duale that he holds a sensitive docket at therefore should behave in a manner that is impartial and non-political.

“As Minister in the sensitive docket of Defence, shouldn't behave this way. The Constitution of Kenya anticipates, desires that CSs be non-political, nonpartisan, and impartial. The Public Officers Ethics Act is a good guide. Please focus on securing our borders beyond Eastleigh,” Kabando said.

Duale on Tuesday accused Raila of being power hungry and asking for talks similar to the 2008 National Accord that was used to settle differences between the former Prime Minister and later President Mwai Kibaki after the post-election violence.

“Raila Odinga is an exposed man desperate for power at whatever cost. How does he equate the current situation to the 2007/08 period and ask for power-sharing under a National Accord arrangement? Mr Odinga, you lost the election,” Duale tweeted.
