Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Korir Sing'oei has reiterated Kenya's commitment to finding an amicable solution to the current crisis facing Sudan.
Korir in a statement dismissed CS Moses Kuria's statement calling for a military invasion of Sudan.
Kuria had said appeasement will not work in restoring peace and order in Sudan and further asked the AU should organise an invasion to bomb Khartoum, the capital of Sudan.
"The Sudan lesson is simple. The community of nations should militarily invade any country where armies overthrow the government. Appeasement does not pay off. Military juntas do not become democrats simply because of the false principle of non-interference. The AU can Marshall a strong enough army to bomb Khartoum to smithereens," CS Kuria said.

But in response to the tweet, Sing'oei termed the remarks as personal and does not reflect the position of the Kenyan government.
He said Kenya remains committed to ensuring that the conflict in Sudan is peacefully resolved.
"The personal views expressed by CS MosesKuria do not represent government policy on this complex and challenging issue. We continue to work with all parties towards a peaceful resolution of the Sudan crisis," Sing'oei said.
The Sudan conflict has caused tremendous suffering to civilians with hundreds of deaths being reported.
