National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi has expressed his disappointment with President William Ruto after he invited Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga for talks through a statement on Twitter.
Speaking on Wednesday, July 26 during an interview with Ramogi FM, Wandayi said it was disrespectful for President Ruto to invite Raila for talks through social media.
“Ruto must respect Baba, inviting him through twitter shows disrespect," said Wandayi.
The Ugunja MP at the same time mentioned that the Azimio coalition will on Wednesday contribute to the families of the protestors who died during the anti-government protests and those who were injured.
“Azimio will today be doing contributions to families whose members were killed by police officers during the demonstrations and those who were injured,” Wandayi remarked.

President William Ruto on Tuesday stated he is open for talks with Odinga once he jets back from Tanzania where he will be attending a human capital meeting.
"My friend Raila Odinga, I am off to Tanzania for a human capital meeting to harmonise the expansion of employment opportunities in our continent. I am back tomorrow evening, and as you have always known, am available to meet one on one with you anytime at your convenience," he tweeted.
This came hours after the opposition leader accused President Ruto of blocking Tanzania President Samia Suluhu’s attempts to reconcile them.
"Two weeks ago, Mama Suluhu Samia came to Nairobi to try and mediate but she was kept waiting for two days and went back," Raila claimed.
