Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has transferred Jomo Kenyatta International Airport manager Abel Gogo following a power blackout that grounded activities at Kenya's busiest terminal to a halt.
Gogo has been transferred to Mombasa International Airport in changes CS Murkomen announced after a tour of JKIA on Saturday.
JKIA will now be headed by Selina Gor who has been transferred from Kisumu International Airport.
Gor is expected to continue with his work of overseeing the day-to-day operations of the JKIA and ensuring work flows well.

Peter Wafula, who was in Mombasa, has been moved to Kisumu International Airport in the same capacity.
The changes announced by Murkomen take place with immediate effect.
CS Murkomen said the government is working to ensure that no power outage is witnessed again at the JKIA.
"We are renovating the facilities at JKIA. We will ensure generators are functional and technicians are around when we need them to protect the country against power failure. We expect no more excuses from Kenya Power," he said.
A power blackout witnessed at JKIA on Friday night left many travellers stranded at JKIA despite it being a major key infrastructure.
Murkomen said the new changes will enable the Airport to operate well and enhance service delivery.
