The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has advertised the position of Director-General which was previously held by Ezra Chiloba.
In an update on X on Friday, October 27, CA noted that they were looking for a visionary and dynamic leader to serve as the Director General.
"The Director General is responsible for providing strategic and visionary leadership and has full operational leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of strategic business plans for the authority," part of the advertisement read.
According to the notice, applicants are required to be holders of a bachelor's Degree in any of the following: Telecommunications, Information Technology, Applied and Physical Sciences, Humanities, and Social Sciences. Business-related fields, or equivalent qualification. They are also required to have a minimum of ten years' experience of which five should be in senior management.

Interested applicants should submit their applications by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 17.
This comes barely a week after the resignation of former Communications Authority of Kenya Director General Ezra Chiloba.
Chiloba's resignation was announced by CA Board chairperson Mary Mungai after the board received the letter from the former IEBC commissioner.

"The Board of Directors of the Communication Authority of Kenya has this morning, October 19, 2023, accepted the resignation of Ezra Chiloba as the Director General," a statement by the CA board chair read in part.
