Former Cherangany Member of Parliament Joshua Kutuny has spoken after he was appointed by President William Ruto as the Chairperson of Kenya Copyright Board.
In a statement via his social media platforms on Friday, October 27, Kutuny said he will work diligently with seal and vigor to deliver the Kenya Kwanza government’s agenda.
"Thank Your Excellency President William Ruto for appointing me the Chairperson Kenya Copyright Board for a period of three years. I will diligently serve with seal and vigor so that together we deliver your government's agenda as planned. Thank you once more," said Kutuny.
He lost his MP seat in the August 9, 2022, general elections to Democratic Action Party of Kenya DAP-K ‘s Patrick Barasa Simiyu.

Kutuny who vied under the Jubilee Party was among the few Rift Valley politicians who drummed up support for Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga ahead of the 2022 polls.
However, after the elections, the former Cherangany lawmaker pledged his allegiance to President Ruto together with other Jubilee politicians.
Kutuny was among the members of the Jubilee party who faced expulsion in May 2023 over allegiance to the ruling Kenya Kwanza government.
He is also among the Jubilee leaders pushing for the former ruling party to leave the Azimio coalition.
