The money was from Quick Mart supermarkets’ weekend sales and was to be taken to the Kenyatta Avenue Family Bank branch.
The Administration Police officers who were set to escort the two Well Fargo employees were the first to raise an alarm after they waited and did not see them.
The incident was reported at the Akila Police Station in Lang'ata, and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives took up the matter.
The DCI sleuths have launched investigations into the issue and a manhunt for the two suspects.
