The change of venue comes after President Ruto directed the recruitment officers to give first priority to National Youth Service (NYS) graduates.

Ruto noted that it will give them an opportunity to serve after obtaining relevant training.

โ€œIn that recruitment plan, I have directed that we must ensure that the majority of those given priority are our young people who have graduated from NYS. We want those young people from NYS to get an opportunity to serve, as I instructed in matters of the security sector,โ€ Ruto stated.

The initial advert targeted Kenyans who have a minimum mean grade of โ€œDโ€ (Plain) in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination.

The recruitment exercise was set to commence on Monday April April 15 and concluded Friday, April 19 at different centres across the 47 counties.
