The Limuru III meeting is currently underway at the Jumuia conference in Limuru.
The event has attracted a number of leaders from the Mt. Kenya region, along with hundreds of locals from the populous region.
Among the leaders in attendance are Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua, Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, former Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Mureithi and Embakasi West MP Mark Mwenje.
Others are Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba, Starehe MP Amos Mwago, former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu, and vocal lawyer Ndegwa Njiru.
Speaking to the press ahead of the meeting, Waititu disclosed that he was expecting Mt. Kenya residents to come to an agreement at the end of the meeting.

"My expectation is that when we leave here, we will have agreed on matters as the people of the Mt. Kenya region. This conference is for everyone. I am not for UDA or Azimio. I am for the citizens," he said.
Also speaking before the meeting, Kioni intimated that former President Uhuru Kenyatta was not involved in the meeting and therefore was not going to attend.
The former Ndaragwa MP further asserted that they had resolved as the people of Mt. Kenya that the government would not perish from their land.
"We, the people of Mt. Kenya, unequivocally resolve, that government of the people, by the people and for the people shall not perish from our land. A government based on liberal democracy and social welfare is indefeasible," Kioni posted on X.
On Wednesday, Kioni claimed that the voice of Mount Kenya had been lost and that the Limuru III meeting was the beginning of their revolution against the Kenya Kwanza government.
