Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has disclosed that he will remain quiet on political issues for the next three months.
In a post on his social media handles on Monday, May 20, the CS vowed not to issue a political stand or opinion on any matter until August 20.
Kuria, however, intimated that on August 20, he will issue a major announcement that will change the political future and landscape of Kenya.
"I will be issuing a major announcement that will change the political future and landscape of Kenya on 20th August 2024 at 10 am. Until then, I will not issue a political position or opinion on any issue," the CS remarked.
His announcement comes at a time when the CS has been at odds with a section of Mt. Kenya leaders over recent developments.

For instance, the former Gatundu South MP has publicly disagreed with Deputy President Rigathi on some matters in the region, one of which is the one-man-one-vote-one-shilling drive.
Kuria was also at odds with Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni after claiming that the former Ndaragwa MP told him that he was not welcome to the recently concluded Limuru III meeting, a meeting that the CS later skipped.
The CS alleged that a prominent politician with prior provincial administration experience had funded the meeting and even urged the attendees not to leave the meeting without being given money.
However, it's not the first time Kuria has announced a break after intense political turmoil. After losing in the Kiambu gubernatorial polls in 2022, Kuria vowed to keep off social media only to resurface weeks later.
