The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party has sounded a warning to Roads Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen and his Public Service counterpart Moses Kuria over their recent involvement in political activities.
In a statement on Wednesday, May 29, UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala ordered the two CSs to focus on their work or resign and join politics.
"It has come to my attention that some cabinet secretaries have been involving themselves in political activities, contrary to the law which requires them to remain apolitical. Hon. Moses Kuria, the Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Gender, and Affirmative Action, your primary responsibility is to serve the people within your docket. Should you wish to engage in politics, you're welcome to resign and join the political arena.
"Similarly. Hon. Kipchumba Murkomen, Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport, your focus should be on addressing the pressing issues in your ministry, particularly the reclamation of roads damaged by recent floods. Serve the Kenyan people or step down from your position and return to politics," Malala remarked.

The UDA SG further censored Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, his Githunguri counterpart Gathoni Wa Muchomba and Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga over what he termed as indiscipline.
Malala asserted that their recent conduct undermined and disrespected the UDA's leadership which they had pledged to serve.
"My attention has been drawn to the fact that certain individuals continue to show blatant disrespect to the party leadership, including the Presidency. This behaviour is unacceptable and will not be tolerated within the realms of our Party," Malala said.
He warned them that if they continued with the behavior, disciplinary action would be taken against them.
"Let this be a stern warning: desist from such actions with immediate effect. Should this behaviour persist, the party will take disciplinary action against you," Malala added.
