The section of Mombasa Road will be closed from Friday, May 31 at 8 pm to Monday, June 3, 2024, at 6 am.

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced a temporally closure of Mombasa Road at Imaara Mall.

In a statement on Friday, May 31, KeNHA said the closure of the road will facilitate the installation of culverts and reinstatement works at these sections.

The section of Mombasa Road will be closed from Friday at 8 pm to Monday, June 3, 2024, at 6 am.

“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) wishes to notify the Public that there will be a partial closure of Mombasa (A8) Road, Nairobi bound lanes at Imaara Mall from Friday, May 31, 2024 at 20:00 hours to Monday, June 3, 2024 at 06:00 hours,” read the statement in part.

The authority also noted that the same road section on the Mombasa-bound lanes would be again closed from Friday, June 7, 2024, at 8 pm to Monday, June 10, 2024, at 6 am.

KenHA advised motorists plying the route to use the two through lanes and approach the affected sections with caution.

The authority further urged motorists to follow the traffic signs and guidance as directed by the traffic police officers and Marshalls.

“The Authority remains committed to ensuring seamless connectivity to facilitate safe passage for economic prosperity,” KeNHA added.
