The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has disclosed that a section of Mombasa Road will experience a traffic disruption for four days.
In a notice on Tuesday, June 11, KeNHA noted that the temporary disruption would be experienced at the Katani Junction between June 13 and June 16.
“KeNHA wishes to notify the public that a section of Mombasa Road (A8) near Katani Road Junction will experience traffic disruption along the Mombasa bound lanes from 13th to 16th June 2024,” read part of the notice by KeNHA Director General Eng. Kung'u Ndung'u.
According to the authority, the temporary traffic disruption will allow for the construction of a mid-span footbridge foundation.
KeNHA provided a traffic management plan that would guide motorists along the section, urging them to cooperate with the traffic marshals.

KeNHA and the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) have been temporarily closing sections of roads in Nairobi for maintenance for the past few weeks.
On Friday, May 31, KeNHA announced the temporary closure of Mombasa Road at Imaara Mall for four days.
The closure of the road was to facilitate the installation of culverts and reinstatement works along the section.
