Bumula Member of Parliament (MP) Jack Wamboka has disclosed that his personal assistant, who he alleged to have been abducted during Tuesday's anti-finance bill protests, has been found.
In a statement on X on June 28, the lawmaker stated that the aide, Wangila Wabomba, was recuperating after being admitted to the hospital.
"We managed to find our brother Wangila Wabomba after two days of missing following a sad ordeal in the hands of the police. Thank you for your goodwill messages and raising alarms. He's recuperating and will be better," Wamboka remarked.
The MP took to his social media account on Wednesday to claim that his aide was abducted and that they searched for him in hospitals and police stations but could not find him.
"My personal assistant, Wangila Wabomba, was abducted yesterday (Tuesday) and is incommunicado. We have searched in all hospitals and police stations but he is no where to be found and indications point to the police," he said.

Wamboka asserted that he had recorded a statement at Parliament Police Station and notified the Speaker of the National Assembly of the incident.
Several prominent social media influencers were reported to have been abducted in the past few days, prompting National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula to direct Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah to get in touch with the Police IG and find out their whereabouts.
However, all those who were reportedly abducted, including Gabriel Oguda, a policy analyst in National Assembly Minority Leader Opiyo Wandayi's office, were later found.
The Law Society of Kenya President Faith Odhiambo earlier condemned the abductions, demanding for the release of the victims.
