Homa Bay Town Member of Parliament Peter Kaluma has called out ODM Party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna over sharing misleading information.
In a statement via X on Tuesday, July 23, Kaluma said a statement shared by the Nairobi Senator was not what was resolved during the last ODM meeting.
Kaluma asked Sifuna to communicate the true party position or risk being removed from the secretary general position.
“This is not what The ODM party resolved in the last meeting. Please communicate the true party position or we sack you, with immediate effect,” said Kaluma.
The statement comes amid tension in the ODM party over the proposed broad-based government by President William Ruto.

President Ruto has reportedly offered several Cabinet slots to Raila Odinga which now seem to have split leaders in the Orange party.
In a statement earlier, Sifuna dismissed reports that the party was in talks with President William Ruto to form a government of national unity.
He slammed a section of ODM members claiming that they were reaching out to the Kenya Kwanza government leadership to ask for cabinet positions.
“Some of our members have also fallen for the campaign of lies and misinterpreted our stance as a license to engage the Kenya Kwanza leadership and canvass for ministerial and/or other positions in the Ruto government,” Sifuna stated.
The Nairobi Senator mentioned that any ODM member who wants to join the cabinet will be doing that without the approval and support of the party.
“Any ODM member who makes themselves available to join the Kenya Kwanza cabinet or any other position should know that they do so without the blessing or support of the party,” Sifuna added.
