Former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria held a meeting with Azimio leader Raila Odinga at the latter's Capitol Hill office in Nairobi on Monday, August 5.
In a statement, Kuria disclosed that the meeting touched on various matters concerning the current state of the nation, including the proposed national dialogue.
The former CS asserted that the national dialogue would culminate in structural reforms, which he claimed would bring a lasting solution.
"This morning at Capitol Hill, I held a meeting with my friend, Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga. We discussed various issues facing the nation at the moment. I thanked him for bending backwards (yet again) to save the country from self-destruction.
"We were unanimous that going forward we can not continue to prescribe panadol where surgery is required. The upcoming process of national dialogue must and will culminate in deliberate structural reform for a lasting solution," Kuria remarked.

He further added that they agreed to work closely going forward as they continue to consult with other like-minded leaders.
The remarks by Kuria come after four members of Raila's ODM party were nominated by President William Ruto in his new broad-based cabinet.
The Head of State, however, stated that he had not entered into a coalition agreement with the orange party.
"We have no formal coalition arrangement. What we have is running an administration on matters that we have agreed with members of ODM so we can put the country first and address challenges that brought Kenya to where it is," remarked Ruto on Sunday, July 28, during a town hall in Mombasa.
Kuria was not retained by President Ruto in his new cabinet.
