According to KeNHA, the disruption will be necessitated by the construction works of a footbridge.

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has issued an advisory over traffic disruption expected along a section of Mombasa Road for 25 Days.

In a notice released on Friday, October 25, the disruption will be witnessed on Mombasa Road near Panari Hotel.

According to KeNHA, the disruption will be necessitated by the construction works of a footbridge.

The works will commence on Tuesday, October 29, to Friday, November 22, 2024.

"The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) wishes to notify the public that a section of Mombasa Road (A8) near Panari Hotel, will experience traffic disruption along the Mombasa bound lanes from Tuesday, October 29, 2024, to Friday, November 22, 2024," read the notice in part.

"This is to allow for the realignment of the road and construction of a mid-span footbridge foundation at the median between the Mombasa-bound lanes and the adjacent Nairobi Expressway fence.

Therefore, motorists were advised to be cautious when approaching the area during the scheduled works to avoid any traffic snarl-ups.

Consequently, the authority indicated that Traffic marshalls would be deployed along the affected areas to guide motorists.

Notably, a map was also included in the notice to indicate the areas that will be affected during the construction works.

"KeNHA advises motorists to follow the proposed traffic management plan below and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on-site," the authority added.
