The weatherman disclosed that the daytime temperatures in the counties will exceed 30°C.

The Kenya Meteorological Department has warned of high daytime temperatures expected in parts of the Coast, Northeastern, and Northwestern regions. 

In a weather forecast report on Tuesday, October 29, the department disclosed that the daytime temperatures in the regions will exceed 30°C in the next seven days.

"Daytime Heat Alert: High daytime temperatures over 30°C expected in areas like the Coast, North-eastern, and North-western Kenya. Keep cool and stay hydrated," Kenya Met explained. 

The counties in the Coast region that are likely to experience the high-temperature conditions include Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, and Kwale, as well as some parts of Tana River County.

On the other hand, the North-eastern region counties to experience the conditions include Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Isiolo, while the North-western include Turkana and Samburu counties.

However, the weatherman warned of extremely low night temperatures of below 10°C in some parts of the Central Highlands and Central Rift Valley.

Kenya Met further stated that rainfall is expected during the forecast period in some parts of the Central Highlands, Western Kenya, Lake Victoria Basin, Rift Valley, Coast, and North Eastern Kenya.

However, the weatherman disclosed that the rest of the country is likely to be sunny and dry during the forecast period.

"Regions including North-eastern, North-western, South-eastern lowlands, and much of the country will experience mainly sunny and dry conditions," Kenya Met stated.
