The authority advised motorists to follow the above traffic management plan and also cooperate with traffic officers on the site.

The temporary closure comes even as KeNHA shared the progress of the construction of the Gitaru interchange.

In an update on November 12, the authority intimated that upon completion, the interchange will foster faster commuting and easier access to the various intersections.

"The construction of Gitaru Interchange is taking shape. This is a major interchange that will link the Southern Bypass, Western Bypass, and A8 Road, delivering seamless connectivity and enhanced road safety.

"Upon completion, the interchange promises faster commuting, easier access of the various intersections, and general growth for Nairobi and beyond," KeNHA explained.
