Five people have been killed and several others injured following a grisly road accident at Subukia on the Nyahururu-Nakuru road.

The accident occurred on Tuesday night, December 3, after a truck driver lost control and hit two people on a boda boda before veering off the road and hitting other pedestrians.

In the aftermath of the accident, at least five people died while several others were injured.

This comes barely a week after five people were killed following a tragic road accident in the Kibirigwi area on the Sagana-Karatina road in Kirinyaga County.

The incident, which occurred on the morning of Friday, November 22, involved a lorry carrying bags of maize and two private vehicles.

According to the police, the lorry rammed into the two vehicles, resulting in the fatalities.

In photos and videos obtained by Nairobileo.co.ke, the lorry was seen overturned on the roadside, with its load of maize scattered around it.

The two private vehicles were extensively damaged, highlighting the severity of the crash, with one of them lying in a ditch by the roadside.

Police responded to the scene to aid in rescue operations and towing of the vehicles as members of the public looked on.
