The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has attributed the challenges experienced on the KCSE 2024 results website to high traffic.
In a statement dated Thursday, January 9, KNEC revealed that over 300,000 requests were being sent on the website per minute.
Therefore, some candidates were witnessing challenges and delays in accessing the website and the results.
"The portal for checking the 2024 KCSE examination results is fully functional and candidates are receiving their results," KNEC explained.

"The minor delays in receiving feedback are due to the high number of requests being sent to the portal, of up to 300,000 hits per second."
Consequently, KNEC encouraged the candidates to be patient as they worked to respond to the numerous requests.
"We urge Kenyans to be patient and assure them that everyone will be able to access their results," KNEC added.
Unlike in previous years, results were only accessible through the KNEC website. in past years, candidates were able to access their results via SMS.
