The Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) has disclosed that the Nanyuki safari train will not operate on Friday, January 17.
In a statement on Thursday, January 16, Kenya Railways noted that a blockage on a section of the route made it impossible for trains to operate.
The corporation, however, maintained that its technical teams were on site to clear the blockage in order to resume normal operations as soon as possible.
"We wish to inform members of the public that the Nanyuki Safari train will not run on Friday, January 17, 2025. This is due to a blockage on a section of the line, which is hindering the movement of trains between Nairobi and Nanyuki.
"Our technical teams are working to clear the blockage and restore the line to working order. As always, the safety of our passengers is of paramount importance to us. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and look forward to having you onboard upon resumption of normal service," Kenya Railways stated.
