Kenyatta University (KU) has announced the introduction of free short courses in various ICT fields through its ICT Professional Training and Certification Centre.
In an update on Monday, January 20, KU said the available courses include Introduction to Modern AI, Introduction to Data Science, and Operating Systems Basics.
Other available free courses are Digital Awareness and Introduction to Cybersecurity.
KU directed that students can register for these courses using the QR code provided on the promotional poster.
To ensure authenticity and ease of access, a Kenyatta University student email is required during the registration process.

Students are allowed to enroll in more than one course by filling out the application form again.
Additionally, as an added incentive, participants who complete the courses and the mandatory end-of-course survey will receive a certification from Cisco.

The courses are designed to meet the needs of diverse groups, including high school graduates, university students, IT professionals, and working individuals seeking to upgrade their ICT competencies.
The courses are offered at various Kenyatta University campuses, including the Main Campus, City Campus, Nakuru Campus, Embu Campus, Kitui Campus, Mombasa Campus, and Mama Ngina University College.
To accommodate different schedules and learning preferences, the courses are available in three modes; full-time, part-time, and weekend-only.
