Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria on Sunday penned a message to President Uhuru Kenyatta regarding Deputy President William Ruto's visit to his constituency.
The legislator wrote to the President after he alleged that some people destroyed banners announcing DP Ruto's visit to gatundu in the early morning hours of Sunday.
Kuria called on President Uhuru Kenyatta not to 'allow politically instigated bloodshed to be the hallmark of your legacy.'
"Dear President Uhuru Kenyatta. You vowed that we shall not shed blood ever again because of politics. Thats one ideal that I borrowed from you, believed in it and one I have been actively propagating. Yet this morning, in this very hour, people professing to be your defenders are busy removing banners announcing Deputy President William Ruto’s visit to Gatanga today.
"Mr. President do not allow politically instigated bloodshed be the hallmark of your legacy. Muranga County voted for you with 98% of their votes. They are your inlaws. Kariuki Njiiri vacated the Kigumo Legco seat to pave way for your father when he was released from prison after Kiambu MPs refused. Mr President do not stand by and allow Muranga people to be paid back this way. For ease of reference here is the vehicle with the hired goons," Kuria posted on Facebook.
