Hospital admissions have been linked to the surge in Covid19 as the positivity rate now stands at 26 percent.
Records from the Ministry of Health on Monday, March 2021 showed that 1,270 patients are currently admitted in the country with 137 being ICU cases.
MoH announced that oxygen demand has doubled to 880 tonnes as CS Mutahi Kagwe stating that Kenya is running low on oxygen in health facilities.
He asked people with oxygen cylinders at home that are being used for non-Covid or non-emergency care to return them to health facilities.
