Deputy President William Ruto has been criticized by a section of netizens after he shared a video of toddler struggling to carry a huge log of wood, in the spirit of hustling.
From the video, it is clear that the wood overpowers the toddler, but he ensures he does his best to ferry it from one point to the other.
According to the DP, this is the spirit of the Hustler Nation that he and his allies are pushing for.
“The amazing never-giving-up hustler spirit in this boy is inspiring,” the DP tweeted while sharing the video.

Reacting to the tweet, a section of netizens accused the DP of championing child labour, with others noting that the boy’s status would have been better if resources were not misappropriated in Kenya.
Meanwhile, the DP has been in the frontline advocating for a bottom-up approach arguing that it is the best way to get resources to Kenyans across the country.
According to the DP, if he’ll be elected Kenya’s next President in 2022, his focus will be on empowering Hustlers using his bottom-up approach.
Prior to the outbreak of Covid-19, DP Ruto had embarked on an empowerment programme where he’d traverse the country issuing wheelbarrows and other equipment to Hustlers.
