Deputy President William Ruto has opened up on her daughter June Ruto’s recent marriage, noting that he is happy his daughter found someone and settled down.
Speaking during an interview on Tuesday, the DP noted that prior to getting married to Dr. Alexander Ezenagu from Nigeria, June had introduced him to a Kenyan man, but it appears the relationship did not work out.
Akaniambia ngojea,” the DP said.
Regarding his take on June marrying a foreigner, the DP noted he would have loved to see his daughter marrying locally. He, however, noted that he still has other daughters, adding that young Kenyan men should up their game and make moves.

On the advice he gave his daughter during her wedding, the DP said he requested June to be submissive and respect her husband.
The DP further noted that the mother is always the anchor of the family, citing that his family has stood the many challenges they’ve faced because of his wife Mama Rachael Ruto.
“Success of my family is my wife…Nlipata mke karibu na malaika…Hapo ndo mambo yangu yalienda vizuri,” Ruto divulged.
