Deputy President William Ruto has said that the political conversation in Kenya has finally changed and it’s no longer about the Building Bridges Initiative.
Speaking in Kilifi on Sunday, the DP said it’s good that the conversation is now all about the economy and changing the lives of Kenyans.
“I want to assure you that the conversation has already changed in Kenya.
He went on to say that leaders should focus on effecting changes that will only benefit the people that entrust them with leadership and not those that only benefit them.
“As we focus into the future, we must be careful so that we don’t do that which benefits just leaders. We must think about ordinary people and their hustle and their concerns and their desires,” he said.

DP Ruto also hit out at those opposed to his church visits and fundraisers stating that he is sorry if it does not impress them, adding that without God, he wouldn’t be where he is today, a Deputy President.
He noted that he did not have godfathers like them and he only has God the Father.
Ruto started his 3-day tour of the Coastal region on Saturday where he has been launching projects initiated by MP allied to him and attending fundraisers for various churches in the region.
