However, a section of netizens termed the visit the usual PR gimmicks by politicians when they're seeking votes given the general elections are around the corner.
Another section commended DP Ruto for empowering and supporting the local mwananchi during his visit to Nyamira County.
The DP has been on a two-day political tour of Nyamira County to popularise his bottom-up economic model and his 2022 presidential bid.

“The empowerment programmes we are initiating targeting the common Mwananchi is a sign of our commitment to this agenda,” Ruto said.
Ruto insists his agenda remains to be that of uplifting Kenyans with the Bottom-Up Economic Model.
“At the Hustler Nation, our agenda is the Bottom-Up Economic Model.”
