The CJ noted that JSC held a meeting and resolved to extend the deadline to 12th November 2021. 

Over 60,000 Kenyans applied for the recently announced judiciary jobs, CJ Martha Koome has announced. 

The judiciary announced a mass recruitment exercise in an advertisement published on Friday, October 8, 2021. 

The job vacancies were ranging from drivers, law clerks, court assistants, court clerks, engineers among others. 

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) expected to receive all applications on or before the end of day October 29, 2021.

In a statement issued by JSC on November 4, Koome noted that the judiciary received an overwhelming response and some candidates might have missed accessing the judiciary portal due to high traffic. 

The CJ noted that JSC held a meeting and resolved to extend the deadline to 12th November 2021. 

"At the close of the application window on 29th October 2021, the commission had received more than 60,000 applicants for these vacancies. 

"Members of the public to note that the application portal will reopen on Monday, 8th November 2021, and will close at 5 PM on Friday, 12th November 2021. Those who submitted their applications before the original deadline should not reapply," part of the statement read.
