Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Nelson Havi has sensationally claimed that ousted FKF President Nick Mwendwa has been kidnapped.
In a tweet on Friday, November 26, 2021 Havi claimed that Mwendwa had been kidnapped by the DCI and held without charge.
“FKF President Nick Mwendwa is not under arrest. He has been kidnapped and is being detained without charge at the DCI Headquarters. The police cannot seize someone who the Court has freed for want of a charge. This egregious conduct by George Kinoti should be condemned,” he tweeted.
On Friday, reports emerged indicating that Mwendwa was arrested, by sleuths drawn from the DCI.

He is said to have been taken to the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road for questioning.
Reports indicate that Mwendwa's re-arrest may be linked to the ongoing probe into the misuse of funds and abuse of office at FKF.
His arrest comes days after the state withdrew graft charges against him and closed the case.
In addition, the Anti-corruption court directed the State to refund the cash bail of Ksh 4million to Mwendwa.
The court had earlier directed that the State file a formal charge against Mwendwa or close the file.
During the ruling, Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Wandia Nyamu added that the detention of Mwendwa by the police exhibited bad faith.
"Police arrested and detained Mwendwa irregularly which exhibited bad faith. They brought him to the court without a holding charge even after detaining him for a whole weekend," Magistrate Nyamu ruled.
Mwendwa was facing corruption, and abuse of office charges over the use of Ksh430 million advanced to FKF.
