Former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has dismissed a report by a local publication indicating that Deputy President William Ruto is facing a dilemma in working with ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi.
According to the paper, Ruto will find it difficult to balance the governor seat fight between Khalwale and current Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala who is eyeing the same county's top seat.
Khalwale has however dismissed the reporting saying in the event that the DP works with Musalia, they will definitely strike a deal with Malala so that they work as a team.
He stated that there is no fight between him and Malala adding the most important thing is for ANC to work together with UDA in a bid to ensure they jointly win the country's top seat.

"Dear NMG, this imaginary fight exists only in the pages of ua Newspaper. We are happy to get @UDAPartyKe and @anc_party working in synergy.
"If our presidential aspirants, @WilliamsRuto & @MusaliaMudavadi, find it possible to work together, why not us the gubernatorial aspirants?" he posed.
Kakamega governor race has attracted a number of aspirants who are seeking to succeed the current Governor Wycliffe Oparanya.
Oparanya is serving his second and last term in office.
Khalwale and Malala are strong candidates for the seat and the probability of the two backing down appears difficult even as it appears that Musalia is keen on working with DP Ruto than Raila.
ODM on the other hand has Fernades Barasa, who is the CEO for KETRACO, eyeing the county governor seat.
