Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula has dismissed reports he might be joining the Azimio La Umoja coalition.

Wetangula noted that he is happy in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance and strongly believes they will form the next government.

He was responding to remarks by Wiper-Kenya leader Kalonzo Musyoka, urging him to join Azimio coalition.

Kalonzo stated that he has fought many battles with Wetangula, however, revealed that he is yet to officially ask him to join the ODM leader Raila Odinga-led coalition.

“Wetangula is my brother and my friend. It would have been great if he joined me. We have suffered together, we were teargassed together in CORD and NASA,” he told NTV on Tuesday.

Responding to Kalonzo's appeal, Wetangula reiterated that Kenya Kwanza will win the August 9 general elections.

“I cannot go back. He is my friend, I don’t want to engage him, but I’m happy where I am. We are going to form government, we are going to win this election, there are indications everywhere even you can see for yourself," The Ford-Kenya leader said.

Instead, Wetangula said Kenya Kwanza is incomplete without Kalonzo.

“We are incomplete without him, so its mutual, because nobody can deny that he is my best political friend in Kenya and am his best political friend. We always acknowledge that, but he was pulled by the boss to where he is. I am in no doubt that he is in some certain degree of discomfort,” he said.
