Sensational Kisii Gospel Singer Christopher Mosioma, alias Embarambaba, now says he has been banned from performing at public functions.
Embaramabba opened up on his willingness to perform at the late President Mwai Kibaki's burial saying it is something he would love to do.
The Singer, who has composed a song for the late Kibaki, noted that his willingness is blocked by a ban that was imposed on him.
He says he has been restricted from performing at government functions because of his signature theatrics.
"The last time Uhuru came to Kisii, I was told to reduce my drama as they were afraid I would cause tension," he told a local daily.
He defended himself saying he has no ill intention when doing his performances.
"Am just a cool person and I know how to handle myself. Given a chance, I will be very cool. I am in Kisii and I am not able to even come and view our President's body in Parliament," he said.
Video of Embarambaba performing the song he composed for Kibaki has been going viral on social media eliciting reactions among Kenyans.
Embarambamba said the song, christened Tufanyeje, will officially be released on Thursday.
In the viral video, Embarambamba is sitting on a maize field wearing a torn red suit.
He then gets up and starts walking around asking, "Kifo umechukua Kibaki wapi [Death where have you taken Kibaki]?”
In his typical fashion, Embarambamba then throws himself in a muddy puddle before climbing a tree while wailing.
Such kind of performance has made Embarambamba a household name in Kenya and even within East Africa.
