On Thursday, Ruto's allies claimed government has hired a foreign campaign company to help rig the 2022 elections.

The government through the Ministry of Interior has dismissed claims by a section of Deputy President William Ruto’s allies that the Huduma Namba will be used to rig the 2022 elections.

According to a statement released by Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i,  Huduma Namba is entirely for enhancing service delivery and has nothing to do with the 2022 elections.

Matiang’i further noted that no aspect of Huduma Namba is currently being handled by foreigners as alleged by the DP’s allies.

“The database logistics and the software for Huduma Namba are 100 per cent Kenyan government funded, designed and developed and solely managed by Kenyans," Matiang'i’s statement read in part.
