Kenya Union Party (KUP), an affiliate of Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance, has outclassed the United Democratic Movement Party in two by-elections held in the Rift Valley Region.
The party led by former West Pokot Governor John Lonyangapuo has pocketed the two seats that the UDA was keen on bagging to bolster its numbers at the National Assembly.
According to results announced by Kacheliba Constituency returning officer, the Azimio affiliated party candidate Titus Lotee has trounced incumbent MP Mark Lomunokol to win the seat.
Lotee got 20,073 votes against Lomunokol 17,963 votes.

Lumunokol was vying as an UDA candidate.
In Pokot South, the incumbent David Pkosing, who was vying on KUP party ticket retained his seat.
He trounced UDA candidate Simon Kalekem after garnering 28,225 votes .
Kalekem pocked 15,298 votes.
