Apostle James Ng'ang'a of Neno Evangelism Centre has called on Kenyans to be patient with President William Ruto’s administration.
Speaking during a church service on Sunday, September 18, Pastor Ng’ang’a said that the new Head of State should be given enough time to stabilize the economy.
He said that the president should be given at least three months before Kenyans can start seeing positive changes in the economy.
“Huyu rais ameingia si apewe ata miezi tatu? Sasa mtu amiengia wiki moja atatoa pesa wapi? Ata hajatangaza mawaziri,” Ng’ang’a.
The controversial pastor, however, maintained that he was not defending the President but only wanted him to be given time to serve the nation.

“Sasa mumpatie nafasi. Na simtetei. Mpatie nafasi ata miezi tatu nne aweze kupata pesa pahali ziko, aweke mawaziri ndio ajue vile ataziba hizo mashimo,” Pastor Ng’ang’a added.
His remarks come after President Ruto ended the subsidy on fuel which resulted in a rise of fuel prices to a record high.
The Head of State also said that his government will not subsidize maize flour, maintaining that the subsidy was expensive and unsustainable.
However, during his inauguration on September 13, President Ruto lowered fertilizer prices to Ksh3,500 down from Ksh6,000.
During his campaigns, Ruto promised to lower the cost of living during his first 100 days as the country’s president.
