Homa Bay Town Member of Parliament Peter Kaluma has listed 10 demands he wants President William Ruto to address as he tours the Nyanza region this week.
In a statement on his Twitter account on Wednesday, January 11, the ODM MP asked President Ruto to look into the infrastructure funding and land extension for Tom Mboya University, completion of the Kabunde Airstrip, the elevation of Homa Bay County Referral Hospital and provision of Water and sewerage system in Homa Bay Town.
The ODM MP also demanded for the HBTC TVET, Lake Victoria Ring Road, Roadworks in the Homa Bay region, the Homa Bay irrigation project, fish farming, and electrification.
President Ruto is set to embark on a tour to the Luo Nyanza region from Friday, January 13, 2023. He is expected to preside over the groundbreaking ceremony for the Affordable Housing programme in Homa Bay County.

While visiting Homa Bay in October 2022, President Ruto pledged to transform Homa Bay County’s fishing industry, the cotton sub-sector, and several infrastructural projects including roads and water.
“I am going to approve BT cotton seeds in a Cabinet meeting so that cotton farmers can begin getting high yields. My government must improve the livelihood of the people of Homa Bay,” President Ruto said.
Adding that, “I want the people of Homa Bay and Nyanza as a whole to understand this government is theirs. I am going to serve you and ensure that this region is not left behind when other regions are developing.”
