This comes hours after Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo revealed that the DCI detectives grilled Matiang’i for fifteen minutes before detaining him for five hours without a word.
“Interesting Times, With Former Interior CS Fred Matiangi At DCI Kiambu, 5Hrs Later, Still Held In Abeyance After Only 15 Minutes Engagement. This, Despite A High Court Order! This Is No Investigation, Pure Vendetta & Witch-hunt. Sad Indeed,” Otiende tweeted.
Here is the video;
The former CS arrived at the DCI headquarters at 8:AM in the morning in the company of his lawyers and some politicians.
He was however briefly blocked from entering the headquarters being accompanied by many people. The DCI detectives directed that not all lawyers will be allowed to enter the headquarters.
The lawyers however stood their ground and insisted that while the crowd that had accompanied them won't be allowed in, it was important that all lawyers be allowed in.
